Karnataka Legislative Council · Bengaluru
A voice for Bengaluru's youth in the Council.
ವಿಧಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಯುವಜನರ ಧ್ವನಿ
Salmaan Ahmed — educationist, Youth Congress leader and Vice President of Presidency University — seeks to represent Bengaluru's students, graduates and young professionals as a Member of the Karnataka Legislative Council (MLC).
Why the Council
The people who do the work should help write the policy.
The Karnataka Legislative Council — the Vidhana Parishat — exists to bring experience and expertise into law-making. Salmaan believes the people who run classrooms, campuses, job fairs and health camps should be in the room when policy on education, employment and health is written.
Bengaluru draws young graduates from every corner of Karnataka and India. Their questions — on jobs, skills, startups, safety and the city they will inherit — deserve a representative who has spent his career listening to them.

Priorities
What he will fight for
01
Jobs & skills for graduates
Industry-linked skilling, campus-to-career pipelines and mega job fairs as standing public infrastructure, not one-off events.
02
Stronger public education
Better government schools and colleges, digital learning and teacher development — built on the Mandya school project model.
03
A youth voice in policy
Regular open dialogues like The GenZ Reckoning, so students question the people who make decisions for them.
04
Grassroots sport & health
Statewide leagues, talent support and community health camps that reach families the system misses.
